The Haymarket Hotel Edinburgh

During our recent stay at a hotel near the train station, we found the location to be extremely convenient for exploring the city without needing taxis. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, offering to hold our bags and going above and beyond to assist us - even arranging for a wake-up call at 4 am. The cozy room was a great value for the price, especially for solo travellers seeking a peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

The hotel had a great location, just a short walk to the city center and close to public transportation. This made it easy to explore the city and visit all the Christmas markets. The beds were really comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. Another advantage was the good supply of tea and coffee in the rooms, it was nice to have a hot drink before heading out into the chilly weather.

The single room I stayed in was tiny, barely enough space to move around. It was a bit disappointing as the online photos made it seem much larger.

The Haymarket Hotel is an excellent choice for your stay in the city. their attention to detail and value for money is remarkable. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with very comfortable massive beds that guarantee a good night's sleep. Additionally, the hotel's location is unbeatable. It is conveniently close to transport links, making it easy to access all of the city's landmarks. Whether you're heading to the city centre or the airport, this hotel is perfectly situated. Lastly, the breakfast included in the stay is a great bonus, ensuring a good start to the day.

Great room design, comfy bed, and spacious toilet. Convenient location near train and bus stations. Friendly and accommodating staff who allowed early check-in and luggage storage for our tour. Free bottled water provided.

The hotel's location is perfect for travellers as it is close to the railway station and within walking distance of major attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, providing guests with a good night's sleep. Some rooms feature a beautiful view of the courtyard. The reception staff is very welcoming and helpful, providing good listening when required.

Some rooms lack drawer storage and may require more space for storing clothing.

The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The location was also great, with easy access to the tram and within walking distance to popular attractions like the castle, old town, and Calton Hill. The hotel's interior and exterior had a charming character, and it was situated on a quaint old city street. The staff was very helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. It offered excellent value for money and felt like a home away from home.

Was all great.

We arrived late at night and to our surprise, our double room had been upgraded to a family room. Unfortunately, the shower was blocked, but the staff kindly moved us to a double room which was much more cozy and comfortable. The location is great, close to transportation and tourist attractions. we had a good experience.
